It was impossible to put on the panoply of Greek armor by yourself (much like medieval armor), so you'd need a squire. Herodotus seems to mention that each Spartiate at the Battle of Thermopylae had seven Helots serving him.
Amazing. I'll never be able to paint stuff like this. So far I've been fairly optimistic about everything but everyone else just seems to be doing things so much more better and... they also do things I would've never even thought of doing.fgcvhn
Love this! Wonderful speed paint. I don't really paint myself, so highly epic that you can paint this in only 4 hours. I love the ancient world, Ancient Greece included, and this made me happy. It makes me think of a Spartan warrior returning from or maybe setting off to battle with his Helot slave in tow. Wonderful!
That's a great question. I have often wandered too people who are good at speed painting how they hit the right colors in a short time because finding the right color balance is a pain for me and can take a really long time.
